Jury selection for a corruption trial involving a US Senator will start on Monday in a federal courthouse in Manhattan. The Senator had tried to have the trial moved closer to his home in New Jersey but was unsuccessful. The prosecutors expect the case to take at least four weeks to present. The Senator is accused of being involved in an international bribery scheme with two businessmen. The Senator’s wife, who was also charged, will have a separate trial in July due to a serious medical condition.
